Ned Hedley

Ned Hedley joined the Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute in 2021. Previously he worked for two major banks as an in-house attorney and risk and compliance manager, and as a risk and compliance manager for a major life sciences company. He has worked as a federal criminal prosecutor, first as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in San Diego, California and later as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division. He also served as Senior Trial Attorney for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission in Chicago working on civil enforcement actions of the Commodity Exchange Act. He has tried over a dozen jury cases to verdict and has argued several cases before the 7th and 9th Circuits. His government service also includes serving as intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve where he worked as a counterterrorism analyst. He began his legal career as tax attorney with Mayer Brown in Chicago.

Hedley is a graduate of Wake Forest University where he majored in Economics and History. He received his law degree from New England Law School, and has an LL.M. in Tax Law from New York University School of Law and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
